Well Praise Jesus, and thanks to God's grace I managed to finish my very first 5K race. I walked it in 58:18, with a "net time" of 57:37. My pace was: 18:33 minutes/per mile. I finished 35th in my age group (50-54), and 1125 over-all in a group of 1614. I am so greatful to the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and to God for carrying me that last mille when my ankle and knee were killing me, and my left foot was so numb that my toes were tingling!.
I was so ecstatic, elated, and exhausted at the end. I also felt pumped with the spirit of our Lord in my veins. The music I listened to while walking was many Christian rock and fast paced gospel music.

ReplyDeleteP.S. - How is school going? Will you be coming in to our class for story hour next school year? =)
So far so good. I am hoping to be able to do my student teaching at your school in January 2010. I will also try to do story time for you too once school begins again in the fall. I just have to take things One day at a time.
