Well, tonight will be my second weigh in. I have been following Body For Life for a week and a day. I tried my home scale, and it says 249.2. If this is true, I have lost 5 more pounds this week! I don't trust my scale though. That is why I go to weight watchers on a weekly basis. To get weighed in the same time every week, and on the same scale. I also really like the group of people who attend the meeting. The leader is really nice as well. I don't do the food plan however, because I am over figuring out points! UGH! Now I get why people like that program. They spend so much time figuring out the values for what they put into their system, or are planning to put into their bodies that either they are too tired to eat anything, or they are so annoyed, that they don't want to have to figure out any more.... so they don't eat anything else! FUNNY right?
OK, this is a first post, so I'll keep it short. Mostly I am really happy with myself, and my program. Last night I put together my exercise ball/weight system and even thought I was exhausted, at 11 PM instead of watching TV, I did my first Pilates - upper body work out on the ball with attached weights and bands. Let me tell you, it wasn't easy. Wow. I just did 30 minutes. I can imagine how beat I will be when I extend it to the normal 46 minute workout BFL wants us to follow!
My food is really getting easy to follow. My stomach is shrinking for sure. I couldn't even finish all of my breakfast of strawberries and fat free cottage cheese this morning. I added 1/2 a date and 5 almonds as well as 1/2 cup of pure ruby red grapefruit juice (Publix brand). There is no sugar added, just grapefruits. I am still indulging in my caffeine fix in the morning. I nurse it most of the morning. I am trying to wean myself off of too much of this. But it is a very slow process.
Stay tuned for tonights weigh in facts.....
OH! I almost forgot to tell you all about Sunday's "feed the homeless" ministry. We had a wonderful time getting 71 meals to the needy. We also gave out 5 pairs of shoes, lots of t-shirts, a quilt, and some towels. Not to mention some rain jackets, and a couple of hoodies to keep them dry in a rain shower.
WE REALLY NEED you to rally this Sunday. It is EASTER Sunday, and we need men's jeans, men's shoes, and large men's t-shirts. I hope you'll pass by, and either donate something or your time. RESURRECTION BAPTIST CHURCH, 2PM. (2323 SW 27 AVE, Miami, FL 33145 - across the street from Publix Supermarkets)
SEE YOU THERE!
